Its the End of the World as we know it?

and as the next line of the REM song states, "and I feel fine!" Evangelist Harold Camping is predicting that we will all receive our eternal judgment tomorrow, whether positive or negative, that choice will and is up to you, apparently a decision that needs to be finalized by tonight!

First let me say this guy has already whiffed on his prediction that the world would end in 1994. Just to be clear, a prophet is someone whose record is without blemish, as they are assumed to be a prophet of God, and thus their work is perfect. Tomorrow, May 21, 2011 is not predicted as the end of the world, but the Day of Judgment (some would call it the Rapture), and Oct 21, 2011 will be the end of days according to Camping. Well I have given this guy more words then he deserves, so on to my real purpose for writing...

What would you change? If you felt like Camping was correct and your eternal fate would be sealed tomorrow, what would you do differently today? If you would make a bunch of lifestyle changes, would you stick to them on Sunday? How about on Oct 22nd? That my friend is the crux of the issue. I am confident of two things, first whichever day Camping says is the end, certainly will NOT be, and secondly and far more important, the end of days is coming and we must be prepared in the same manner as if it were tomorrow. So what does that mean?

Stop fooling around! God did not create you for no reason, you have an eternal purpose on this earth. Stop living for things of this world and acting like God isn't real. Get your life straightened out TODAY, and live for the King of Kings. Not because you want fire insurance, but because He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. All blessings you have received are from Him. All He asks in return is to follow His leading in your life. For some that may be to hand over control of their lives and follow for the first time, for others who are already believers it may be to hand over that secret area that you still want to control. For others it may be to just get serious about your walk. Back up the claims you make about being a Christian. It's easy to follow Him on Sunday morning, but what about on Tuesday night? How about Friday morning at the office or in the halls of school? Not so easy. Back up your talk today, or start talking for the first time, whichever applies to you.

WHAT IF we all lived life today like He was coming back tomorrow?
